Safe, person-centred support for people with learning disabilities in Liverpool
Making Days is a PSS day support service for adults with learning disabilities, sensory impairments, physical disabilities, and head injuries. We’re one of the largest providers of day services in Liverpool, giving people brilliant, person-centred support.
How do we support people?
We give person-centred support, which means the people we support have the power and freedom to make their own choices, be true to who they are, and have their voice heard.
We work together on our timetables at Making Days, and encourage people to take an active role in their own support planning. For example, if someone wants to develop skills for independent living, we’ll support them to learn cooking, budgeting, or travel training.
We’ve also got co-production groups that people can get involved with if they want to, where they can have a say on how we run our service.
Who can get support from PSS Making Days?

Where are we based?
We have six connected day centres across Liverpool.
People we support have the flexibility to choose where they spend their time, Monday to Friday, 9.30am to 4.30pm.
As well as centre-based sessions, we also get out and about in the community to places like theatres, sports centres, local parks and lots more.
Dutch Farm in Garston
One of our day centres is Dutch Farm, an urban farm in Garston, Liverpool. At Dutch Farm, people can get involved with gardening, growing fruit and veg and taking care of nature.
What’s a typical day at Making Days like?
There are loads of exciting and enjoyable things people can get involved with, and no two days are the same.
At Dutch Farm, our urban allotment in Garston, people can enjoy gardening, caring for the allotments, or simply spending time outdoors.
In our five other centres, people can take part in a variety of things like, acting, cooking classes, music lessons, crafting, spending time in the sensory room or the in-house beauty salon and more.
All of our centres are safe and supportive places, designed for people to be able to have fun, build confidence, life skills, and friendships
Our skilled team
All of our teammates live the PSS values of being open minded, big hearted, genuine, determined and professional when it comes to supporting people to get the best out of their time in Making Days.
We work with the people we support to see if there are things they want to achieve or work towards, and we’ll then support them to make that happen. We’re all about chasing dreams, smashing goals and creating an environment where everyone has the power to live a life beyond limits.
Our teammates are also specially trained to use equipment such as hoists and PEG feeding systems, as well as experienced in supporting people with dysphagia.
